Privacy Policy
What we collect, including what we receive when you connect TikTok, what we do with it, and how to have it deleted.
Who we are
ANTHM is operated by AMM Ventures, LLC(“ANTHM,” “we,” “us”). ANTHM connects artists and labels with creators who make short-form videos with their music, and pays creators for that work. This policy covers anthm.tech, the ANTHM apps, and campaign pages we share by link.
Questions, or a request about your data: arya@amm.lol.
What we collect
You give us
- Your name and email address when you sign up or join a campaign.
- Links to the videos you submit, and anything you write in a submission.
- Payout details, which you enter directly with our payment providers (Stripe or PayPal). We store a reference to your payout account, not your bank or card numbers.
- Tax information, which you file through our tax-form provider. We record whether a valid form is on file, not your tax identification number.
We collect automatically
- A session cookie that keeps you signed in. We don't use advertising cookies.
- Basic request data such as IP address, browser and timestamps, used for security, abuse prevention and fixing errors.
From TikTok
When you connect TikTok, we receive the data described in Data we receive from TikTok.
Data we receive from TikTok
You can connect your TikTok account by signing in with TikTok, or by adding a one-time code to your TikTok bio. If you sign in with TikTok, you choose to grant access on TikTok's own screen, and we receive only the following. The posting permissions are asked for separately, only if you connect TikTok in ANTHM Studio:
| Permission | What we receive | Why |
|---|---|---|
| user.info.basic | Your TikTok account ID, display name and avatar | To know which TikTok account is yours and show it on your ANTHM profile |
| user.info.profile | Your username, bio, profile link and verified status | To confirm the account's identity and match videos to it |
| user.info.stats | Your follower, following, like and video counts | To show your reach to you and to the campaigns you work on |
| video.list | Your public videos and their view, like, comment and share counts | To count the views on videos you submit to a campaign, which is how you're paid |
| video.publish | Permission to post a video you made in ANTHM Studio to your TikTok profile | So you can post straight from Studio. Only when you press Post, with the caption and privacy you chose |
| video.upload | Permission to send a video you made in ANTHM Studio to your TikTok inbox as a draft | So you can finish and post it yourself in the TikTok app |
We use this data only to verify your account, show your profile and stats inside ANTHM, calculate what you've earned, report campaign results, and send the Studio videos you choose to TikTok. We also read the public view counts of videos you submit from TikTok's public pages, for the same purpose.
- We only post when you ask us to: one video at a time, from ANTHM Studio, after you've seen it and pressed Post or Send. We never post on our own, and we never edit or delete anything on your TikTok account.
- We don't sell TikTok data or use it for advertising.
- Access tokens from TikTok are stored encrypted and used only for the purposes above.
- You can disconnect TikTok from your ANTHM profile at any time, and revoke ANTHM's access in TikTok's settings under Security and permissions. After that we stop receiving new data. Ask us to delete what we hold and we will (see Your choices and rights).
How we use information
- To run your account and the campaigns you join, including reviewing the videos you submit.
- To calculate and pay what you earn, and to meet tax and payment record-keeping obligations.
- To show the artist or label running a campaign the videos made for it and how they performed. Campaign results shared with them include your public TikTok handle, the video and its public stats.
- To send emails you need, such as sign-in links, review decisions and payment notices.
- To prevent fraud, including fake or bought views, and to keep the service secure.
- To understand and improve ANTHM.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is open. Payment and tax records are kept for as long as the law requires, generally seven years. When you delete your account or disconnect TikTok and ask us to, we delete the related data within 30 days, except for records we must keep.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your information, or object to how we use it, by emailing arya@amm.lol from the address on your account. We answer within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example in California, the EU or the UK), you may have additional rights, and you can complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
We use encryption in transit, encrypt stored TikTok tokens, limit who on our team can reach personal data, and sign you in with single-use email links rather than passwords. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we'll tell you.
Children
ANTHM is not for children under 13. If you are 13 to 17, you may use ANTHM only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. If we learn we hold data from a child under 13, we delete it.
International transfers
ANTHM is based in the United States and processes data there. If you use it from elsewhere, your information is transferred to the United States, with safeguards our providers offer for such transfers.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and tell you by email or in the app before the change takes effect.
